HISTORY OF MIKE'S MEMORIAL YOUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE

In 1968, following the loss of his 12-year-old son to an asthma attack, Lou Lindebaum started Mike's Memorial Bronco League.  We celebrated the league's 50th season in 2018.  We are the oldest youth baseball league in Northern Illinois.

MIKE'S MEMORIAL YOUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE

We offer leagues for ages 7U-14U and we have no residency requirements. Our format does not penalize teams from smaller communities by giving teams from larger communities a competitive advantage, based on the size of their population base.

We believe regardless which High School our players will be attending, playing competitive games week in and week out will better prepare our players for High School and beyond, when compared to other leagues.

Our 14-20 game regular season schedule allows teams that enjoy playing regularly in weekend tournaments the opportunity to play against solid competition during the week, without forfeiting much needed practice time. With a regular season stretching over 12-13 weeks, teams do not play more than one game a week, most weeks. Our flexible scheduling policy allows coaches to arrange their own schedule, avoiding conflicts.

At the conclusion of the regular season every team in the league participates in our single elimination playoff.
